Description

Akora Khattak cantt was established in 1850 and at 23 March 1851 Lord Dalhousie, Governor-General of India, visited the place.In 1916 the first police station of Akora Khattak was established.The railway line went through this area in 1923 .

Its not Akora Khattak raily station. Its Attock Khurd railway station (last railway station of Punjab before KPK/NWFP). The bridge is over River Sindh and Kabul, its the point where river Sindh and Kabul meets each other. Akora Khattak is around 30KM towards KPK/NWFP side.
