I still say this is the best picture of any sort in DeviantART. I  have finally started to post samples of my work. I hope you like it.

I appreciate the Biblical reference and how the dust envelops the figures and how the shepherd appears out from the gloom. Wonderful work and congratulations!

I did not even see the little one until you pointed it out. I really love the fact that  the goats on his far left are completely obscured. You do know the meaning of he 'goats on the left'? I also like the way he seems to be pointing the way with his stick. You could not have gotten a better picture if you had somehow been able to pose him in the center and the goats around him. Well done!

We have sheep and used to have goats and whenever I see an image of someone walking in front of their flock I'm like, 'if I tried that, my sheep would run the other way...' they don't follow very well, like, maybe three follow you, maybe...

Very nice picture, very well done!

obviously your sheep do not know you as well as these goats know their shepherd. They know his voice and they follow him.

yeah, but its okay, because we don't really take our sheep over great distances anyway, and those we hand raise will come to us and follow us. We always have a few halter broke sheep around so that the other sheep will follow them when we do half to move them though.

Thank you. I really did not know about breaking a few to accept a halter. Our sacred writings make many references to shepherds and sheep, so it is good for me to learn as much as I can.
And it does make sense that a hand raised sheep will follower the one who fed it. Most animals do that.
I am learning so much from Deviant art.
If I buy one of your pictures through the site, do you get the money or at least part of it?

Yeah, I have never actually sold one of my pics on DA, so I don't know exactly how it works, but I an pretty sure I would get most of the money.

Do you actually want to buy one or are just asking, cause I never really thought they were that good...

The picture of the shepherd has great religious significance for me. Of course, having added it to my favorites I can look at it any time I want, but I am trying to think of a way to display it here where I live. Also I think it would be a way to pay you back for you willingness to explain things about your pictures. I did actually think you were a professional photographer, and apparently you are. I note that you say you have never sold a picture of DA.
I've sold some images, but I am certainly not a professional.
I'll have to explore this some more.

You don't need to pay me back, just comment on a photo or fav one is fine, I like to know that people like my pictures, and to find out what people think about them and how I can improve, an I am not a professional photographer, I am trying to become one, but I need to get out of school first, hahaha. I hope that you can get some good information through DA, it really is a great site.

How about this: you continue to post and I'll comment? I just finished viewing the gallery of one of the fantastic photographers in Pakistan. Have you viewed their work?
What university? I myself studied at the University of Louvain, in Belgium.  I cannot believe you are still in University; your work shows great maturity.
One day I'll do the work to post more of my own best pictures and perhaps you can comment on them.

I saw this and my first thought was "poor goats, they will be slaughtered and let bleed till the death
as dictated by the Islamic tradition, other than that the picture is very impressive, but my first thought is gone to the fate of the goats ...
sorry...
